Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

Tuluv lets friends wake each other up — only with permission. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Tuluv is operated by Tuluv.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, a username, an optional display name, and your time zone.
  • Your connections: friends and friend requests, who you allow to wake you (and when), people you block, crews you join.
  • Wakes: who woke whom, when, the optional message, and its status (sent, ringing, “I’m up”).
  • Your phone: a notification token so wakes can reach your phone, and the platform (iOS or Android).
  • Your alarms: the time, repeat days and label of alarms you set for yourself — kept on your phone and synced to your account so a new phone gets them back.
  • Repeating wakes and Sure Wake: the days and time of a repeating wake, and for Sure Wake the backup friend the sender picked.
  • Reports you send about other people, and the reason you choose.
  • App usage: a few in-app events, such as opening the Plus screen or sharing an invite, so we can see what works. These stay with us — no third-party analytics or ad trackers.
  • Waitlist (website): if you join the waitlist, your email address and which page you joined from. We use it only to email you once when Tuluv launches.
  • Purchases (when available): the store tells us whether you have an active plan and how many Sure Wake credits you have. We never see your card details — Apple and Google handle payment.

We don’t collect your contacts, location, microphone or camera, and we don’t sell your data or use it for ads.

Why we use it

  • To run the service: deliver wakes, show receipts, crews and streaks.
  • To keep people safe: enforce permissions and blocks, review reports, filter offensive names and messages.
  • To keep it working: fix bugs and understand reliability (for example, whether wakes ring on time).

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase — database, sign-in and server functions (hosting).
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service — delivering wakes to your phone.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play (and a subscription service such as RevenueCat) — purchases, when available.
  • An email provider — sending sign-up and password-reset codes.

They process data only to provide these services to us.

Who can see what

Other people see your username and display name. Friends you allow can wake you; you and the other person see the wakes between you, including repeating ones. If someone sends you a Sure Wake and you don’t tap “I’m up”, the backup friend they chose is told you’re not up yet — a backup must be someone you already allow to wake you. Crew members see each other’s “up” status and streaks. Your alarms and app usage are visible only to you and our systems. Reports are seen only by our team.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account (Me → Delete account) we delete it immediately, along with your connections, wakes and crew memberships. Crews you created stay for their other members. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. Waitlist emails are deleted after the launch email is sent, or sooner if you ask us.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit your name and time zone in the app; turn off who can wake you at any time.
  • Delete your account in the app, or see how to request deletion.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you can ask for a copy of your data, correction or deletion by emailing support@tuluv.app.

Children

Tuluv isn’t for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We delete accounts we learn belong to them.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we’ll tell you in the app before it applies.
